Commissions

Portraits
When drawing portraits I love to bring my work to life by capturing subtle facial expressions or features that are often unique to the individual I'm drawing. For me, this is usually captured in the eyes. It can say so much about how a person is feeling and even who they are.

Wildlife/Pets
Drawing animals presents different challanges for me as an artist but just like humans, animals can often have unique features that show their character.
How long does a commission take ?
The time it takes for a commission to be completed depends on the size of the portrait and how many subjects are in the drawing. Usually it takes between 2 - 4 weeks. I will always confirm beforehand and give you an exact date.
What sizes portraits do you offer?
I typically offer potraits in A5, A4, A3 and A2 sizes, however I can draw any size, it really just depends on what you want. If you are not sure of what size to choose, just send me an email and I am happy to advise. You choose, I create!
How can I order a pencil commission?
Ordering a portrait is really easy. The most important thing is that you choose a good quality, high resolution image and decide what size you would like. You can find the prices on the prices page. Once you have found an image, just send me an email and I will check the image quality and send you a confirmation with the price and delivery date.
What image to choose ?

Good Quality
The quality of the image is the most important thing in order to have a high quality and realistic pencil drawing. The higher the quality of the reference photo, the more detailed the finished drawing will be.

Bad Quality
This image is an example not to be used. The subject is too far away from the camera and therefore the detail in the image is lost. The best images are the ones that I can zoom in on the subject and the image doesn't become blurry.
